I know what to do, but I just don’t do it.
You recognize this phrase. You’ve heard your friends say it. Chances are that you’ve even said it yourself.
I understand, and I’ve been there before.
You set your New Year’s Resolution. It’s really going to happen this time. You’re doing it! You’re training and following that crazy keto diet. Maybe you even went vegetarian.
Then, life happens. It gets crazy. You have work, your spouse, maybe even your kids. Your boss is asking you to do more, you’re spouse is feeling disconnected from all the time you’re spending apart at work, training, etc…
Your well intentioned exercise and nutrition plan falls apart.
You realize that you’ve slipped days, months, even years later. Then you go see the doctor…
When it’s time to turn it around and begin a true lifestyle change, it can be overwhelming to figure out what to do and where to start. Not to mention the doubt we’ve built from trying — and falling off the wagon — before.
That’s where I come in. Whether you’re tired of climbing back on the wagon, or your results aren’t reflecting the work that you’re putting in, I’m here to serve you.
My intention is to provide you with the best program possible for you.

Hero Highlight — Meet Jen
When did you start your fitness journey and what motivated you to start?: I started my fitness journey way back in my early 20s, and I was motivated by first wanting to lose weight but also to age gracefully and maintain the muscle of my youth. I never really was 100% successful however, as I had emotional issues with eating. You can’t outrun a bad diet.
I got serious with it after I had my son in late 2017. I started out with going to alpha classes at LifeTime and soon found myself taking nutrition and personal training with Robert Bill.
The motivation to get fit was to finally just be happy with my body and feel confident about myself. I’m not getting any younger and it was time to get serious and live my life.
What were some of your goals when you started?: Some of the goals I had were to lose weight, get strong and healthy, improve my performance in triathlon, and perfect that olympic lifting technique. I also wanted to be a good role model for my son. I want to raise him with a confident mom who leads by example.
What have been your greatest achievements along the way?: The greatest achievements for me has been overcoming the mental and emotional aspect of my diet. I discovered meditation and yoga along the way and it has brought so much more peace to my life. It was the upstream mediator of all other health-related aspects for me. If my mind is out of balance, so is my body. I pay respect to my mind, the body falls back onto a happy balance. It’s wonderful!
What have been your greatest challenges along the way, and how did you overcome them?: The greatest challenges have been the mental roadblocks related to back sliding. Whenever I thought I “had it”, I’d discover some stressor that would set me off. I did perfectly when living in the bubble of “no stress”, but that’s not real life. When real life hit me, failed time and time again — but at the same time I learned. With Rob’s support and tailored suggestions, I was finally able to overcome them; and while things are not perfect, I realize they never will be and what’s important is how I respond to them.
What are your goals now?: I am still looking for more and more balance in my life, but I am getting there. Its like climbing that mountain – I’ve come aways but I still see there is so much more to climb. At least now I have the tools and equipment to move forward on my journey and be successful.
What has surprised you the most along this journey?: How hard it was to change my habits, and how dependent on the environment so many of my responses were. I truly felt a slave to my emotions at many times – no freedom in thought or action, until I found meditation.
How would those close to you describe the difference that they’ve seen in you?: I’m more confident and relaxed as a person. I make decisions and execute them with much more precision than before. I am able to process my emotions more effectively and dole out appropriate advice to others, when asked.
What is your favorite thing about working with Rob, and how has he helped you along the way?: Rob is unique. He is more than a trainer and more than a coach – he has this quality about him that really brings out the best in you. He “knows you” and can tailor advice or a plan to you, personally.
He could write a manual on “how to live life” and it would work for nearly everyone. He would make a wonderful “life coach” to anyone who feels lost. He is a step above the rest. He has the book smarts, the bed-side manner, and motivational attitude to really get you going. He is multi-faceted and can pull from so many resources/so much of his knowledge to get you where you need to get going. He’s not judgmental and seriously wants to help you!

What were some of your goals when you started?: When I first started, I actually thought that I was in OK shape, so I was mostly thinking about maintenance. My first workout with Rob humbled me so much that I realized I had to make major changes to my workout regimen .
What have been your greatest achievements along the way?: My old PR’s are now my warm up weights! I also feel that I know my body better than ever before.
What have been your greatest challenges along the way, and how did you overcome them?: Many of the movements and complexes were completely foreign to me before working out with Rob. Additionally, I struggled with mobility. Rob prioritizes the right things for me. He doesn’t push me to lift more, he pushes me to lift right.
What are your goals now?: This year, I’d like to significantly reduce my body fat while still reaching for new PR’s.
What has surprised you the most along this journey?: How little I understood about the level of commitment needed in and out of the gym to achieve my goals. Rob has taught me so much about how to recover, which has made an enormous difference in my life.
How would those close to you describe the difference that they’ve seen in you?: Aside from the physical changes, I have a greater sense of clarity about who I am.
What is your favorite thing about working with Rob, and how has he helped you along the way?: There are very few people that you can say have truly changed your life, and Rob is one of them.
